Product Name:ChomiX®-Magbeads Streptavidin (SA) Coated Magnetic Beads
ChomiX®-Magbeads Streptavidin (SA) Coated Magnetic Beads, based on the strong binding ability between streptavidin and biotin (kd = 10-14~ -15 mol/L), can highly specific bind with biotinylated proteins or antibodies. They are one of the important tools in the field of life science, widely used in protein separation and enrichment, immunodiagnosis and cell sorting. The beads have a concentration of 10 mg/ml and particle size of 1.0 μ m, with high streptavidin binding capacity(about 50 μ g / 1mg ) and extremely high hydrophilicity. They also exhibit superparamagnetic properties, rapid magnetic response, excellent redispersion stability and magnetic stability, effectively ensuring a high protein binding rate, minimal non-specific adsorption, reaction uniformity, and detection consistency.
ChomiX®-Magbeads Streptavidin (SA) Coated Magnetic Beads are utilized in proteomics experiments for separation and enrichment of biotinylated proteins. First of all, their non-specific adsorption is compared with that of streptavidin agarose resin in 0.05% SDS / PBS buffer solution. For general proteome samples, both of them are washed with 0.05% SDS / PBS and high salt buffer solution after enrichment, followed by elution of the bound protein and silver staining analysis. As shown in Figure 1, ChomiX®-Magbeads Streptavidin (SA) Coated Magnetic Beads exhibit lower non-specific adsorption compared to the traditional streptavidin agarose. The proteome is labelled with biotin probe, enabling specifically covalent labeling of cysteine residues. After enrichment and identification via high-resolution mass spectrometry, the results display that the ratio of biotin probe-modified peptides to total peptides up to 97.4%, while the ratio of peptides in streptavidin agarose in the total is only 74.9% (Figure 2), indicating a strong biotin enrichment capacity and low non-specific adsorption of ChomiX®-Magbeads Streptavidin (SA) Coated Magnetic Beads.

1. Before the first use, fully vortex and mix well to prevent from changing the magnetic bead concentration.
2. Avoid prolonged ultrasound to prevent damage to the surface of beads. Prior to use, perform magnetic separation and washing 2-3 times with pure water or the buffer solution., Use beads as soon as possible to avoid long storage.
3. Store at 4℃, avoid freeze- thaw during use.
